Even when a fight for treasure is
on there is still time for love. It's been said that many cowboys love
their horse as much as their woman. One thing is sure, when either gets
stolen - or in the way, it is bad form to shoot them!

Stage Description:
For the stage, you'll need:
10 Pistol --- (Josey Wales 19 rounds loaded 5,
5, 5 & 4)
9 Rifle
Tomahawk

Shooter starts at table with revolvers holstered, rifle staged safely,
shotgun staged safely and tomahawk staged at log.

When ready Good Guys say, "Don't worry Persephone! I'll save
you."
When ready Bad Guys say, "Stay out of the way woman!."
At the buzzer:
- Move to circle by log and with hawk cut the horse loose. This releases
the swinging woman target. While in the circle turn and throw the hawk
at the target across the bay. No bonus or penalty
for sticking or failing to stick the hawk but anyone who does stick the
hawk in the target is entered in a drawing*.
- Stay in the circle and with the pistol shoot the two targets alternating
with the first five pistol rounds. Do not hit the woman. Each hit on the
woman will earn a five second miss penalty even if the steel is hit. This
means that it is possible to get 10 misses with just five shots on these
two targets in a case where all five shots hit the woman but miss the steel.
- Move to table and with rifle engage the closest three rifle targets
in a Nevada Sweep. Plainsman and Monte Walsh engage the farthest three
rifle targets in a Nevada Sweep.
- Staying behind the table, engage the three pistol targets in a Nevada
sweep with the second five pistol rounds.
*Note to scorekeeper, write Hawk in the bonus
space of the score sheet for all who stick the hawk.
