OK, what do you all do with corn meal ( besides using it for cartridge filler )?
My dear ol' granny ( straight from Duck Town Tenn ) use to do this, and I still do.

Build a 400° fire ( you can use the oven is desired )
Get out a 10" iron skillet
Mix up: 1 cup flour
1 cup corn meal
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp baking powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 large egg
1 cup buttermilk
1 can cream style corn
grease up the skillet and preheat about 5 minutes. Stir up makings ( dont get carried away with the mixing ) and pour in skillet. Bake about 30 minutes or until done.
Granny lived to be 90, and I'm sure this had something to do with that!
